12 days of TNT

Clever, aren't I?  I have had some time to think about the title with being sick the last few days running a pretty high fever (gee, with my hip feeling better, there is NOTHING like feeling sick to make me even more nervous about my marathon!)  With the holidays here or looming, I wanted to have one last big raffle before my TNT fundraising is closed.  I appreciate your continued support and donations and I am doing so well and it wouldn't be without your help.

Here is one last push for me to send out some items and for you to get gifts for the runners in your life.

Here is the deal.  I have 4 running specific packages I want to raffle off in the next 12 days.  Every third day, a winner is announced, HOWEVER, you do not have to donate again for the next raffle.  So, on the 8th, the first winner will be announced, their name removed, and then on the 11th, a new winner, and so on and so on.  I also have a Vera Bradley Wallet/Clutch that will be available.  If someone picks that over a running package, two winners will be announced.  Pretty cool, right?  This way, you have a chance to get some shopping done and save a little money while you are at it!

So, here are the 4 runner gift bags to choose from.

 Bag 1

  1. Tote from One More Mile Reading You Don't Have to Go Fast.  You just Have to Go.
  2. One More Mile magnet with either 13.1 or 26.2

  4. Tell me what is on your runner's wish list for the holidays.  I am just curious as to what you are all dying for!
  5. Tell me what your go to is when you get sick.  Is it mom's soup, some tea, certain medicine or vitamins?  Seriously, I need to kick this nasty bug's rear!
Also, remember I have a Bondi Band Fundraiser going on still.  You can check out the remaining bands here.  They would be a great stocking stuffer for some of the runners in your life!

Again, thanks to all the support you have generously offered me over the last few months.  I can't put into words how wonderful both the donations and kind words have been.  You guys rock and are some of the best people out there!  I promise, my begging (albeit for a good cause) will be over soon and you will get the same old lovable Erin you once had back!

Also, thanks to the wonderful people at SweatyBands, Zensah, Life Your Sole, Nathan and One More Mile for their generous donations to my raffle.  They are such awesome people and were so excited and happy to help me out!

I am off to go drink some tea and chug some OJ.  Darn you bug, I want to feel better!

Happy running!  Fingers crossed I can get out in the next day or two for a long run!

Hmmm...y do I run. What a wonderful question. well of course I run for a cause bigger then me. The cause changes time to time and the race changes but the value behind it is always the same. I run for those who can't, so some day they will! What keeps me running are usually awesome running buddies =)

I run because I love it. Plus it allows me to eat whatever I want and it helps me show my kids what a healthy lifestyle looks like.

I really want an Under Armour Catalyst Hoodie. And that's pretty much it.

When I get sick, I live on Halls Vitamin C drops. Love those things. Oh, and I wash my hands like a zillion times a day

I started running to lose weight, then I was running to train for a 1/2 marathon. Now I keep running b/c I'm hooked!

My wish list is pretty short but includes pants and long sleeved t-shirts so that I can keep running in the cold weather. Since I'm new at this I'm not picky about brands or styles so anything will do !

to ward off illness, only two things have worked for me: hand washing and plenty of sleep. Not very exciting but it wokrs for me!

What inspires me to run - people like you! Seriously - I enjoy running for a cause greater than myself and I too have been affected by cancer. My uncle passed away from bone cancer a couple of years ago, and I wish I would have known him better than I did before he passed. My mother-in-law was recently diagnosed with breast cancer too.

When I get sick - GATORADE! Only the red kind. I don't drink it when I run, but I do when I get sick! And my puppies - they always have a way of warming you up if you have the chills! ;)

My running holiday wish list? Most of all - I want an annual membership to the local running club I am part of. It is pricy, but I love it!!! :) I was also thinking I might like a pair of compression pants for winter.

Katye sent me over!

I donated $10 - best of luck!!

I also posted about this on my blog.

I run because i was scared to start. I didn't think i could ever be a "runner", but i wanted to try. Every time i run, i try to think about how far i've come & how i should be proud that i had the courage to start.

I am asking for a Garmin for Christmas - hope my parents are feeling generous! :)

Ugh, sorry you are feeling sick! My remedy is to lay on the couch & watch your favorite tv show/movie. And cuddle with a pet if you have one. Seems to help me. :)
